Processing Unit

Introduction:
The Civil Engineering Computing Unit (CECU), located within the Computer Center of the School of Civil Engineering, has been established to serve the faculty members and students of the school. The systems in this unit are used for long-term execution of engineering software and custom-written codes developed by students and faculty. These systems are housed in a dedicated, climate-controlled room.
For inquiries, please contact the unit at +98 21 6111 3289.

Usage Instructions:
To use the systems, users must visit the Computer Center supervisor at the School of Civil Engineering, submit a request form for access to the CECU systems, and complete the registration form. After registration, connection guidelines and instructions are sent to the user via email.
Access credentials and time slots are then assigned to the applicant's username. Users can connect to the desired system through the university’s internal network or via external internet access using UTVPN, and remotely run their computations through Remote Desktop Connection (RDP).
:It is important to note that

Users are granted administrator-level access on the assigned system.

Upon disconnection, no data is lost, and users can resume their work seamlessly upon reconnection
