Faculty Honors

  • The GeoFan Team of the Faculty of Civil Engineering achieved third place in the Second National Reinforced Earth Wall Competition (May 9, 2016).

  • The Journal of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, was recognized as the Top Journal of the University in 2014 with a score of 65.1, as approved in the 28th Session of the University of Tehran Commission for Planning and Advancement of Scientific Journals (April 7, 2015).

Honors of Faculty Members

  • Dr. Khademi was selected as an Outstanding Educational Faculty Member at the Sixth University Teaching Festival (May 2019).

  • Dr. Banafsheh Zahraei and Dr. Sara Nazifi were selected as award recipients at the Second National Festival of Women and Science (Maryam Mirzakhani Award) (May 2019).

  • Dr. Sara Nazifi was recognized as an Outstanding Young Researcher in Civil Engineering by the Iranian Academy of Sciences (March 2019).

  • Dr. Seyed Mehdi Zahraei was selected as a Distinguished Researcher at the 27th University Research and Technology Festival (January 2019).

  • Dr. Mohammad Karamiouz received the Hydraulic Engineering in Arid Regions Award (July 2018).

  • Dr. Cambyse Bania (Faculty of Civil Engineering) was awarded the French Legion of Honour (April 2017).

  • The research project of Dr. Morteza Eskandari was selected as an Outstanding Fundamental Research Project at the 24th University Research and Technology Festival (December 2015).

  • Dr. Soheil Mohammadi was selected as an Outstanding International Professor at the University of Tehran International Day Festival (January 2014).

  • Following approval by the General Assembly of the Iranian Academy of Sciences, Dr. Mohammad Rahimian, Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, was appointed as a Member of the Academy of Sciences (December 2013).

  • Dr. Reza Karachian, faculty member of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Tehran, who had been nominated by the Iranian Academy of Sciences as Iran’s candidate to The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), was accepted as a Young Affiliate Member of TWAS (July 2013).
